BEAU GESTE is a very nice later-model example of the beautiful Little Harbor 60 series, first launched in 1994 as hull #9 of 12 built. She is uniquely designed to be easily sailed by one thanks to a cockpit layout that is superior to anything else in her class – all sail controls and winches are at the helm, with easy side exits to main deck without climbing over a high coaming – along with a long list of equipment for easy, safe extended cruising. And unlike most modern cruising yachts, she features finely crafted joiner work above and below decks with labor-intensive details seldom seen today.
With her low-wetted surface design, sea kindly hull form, deep efficient centerboard and powerful sail plan, BEAU GESTE is a dream to sail in all conditions. She can also cruise in shallow waters normally limited to much smaller yachts thanks to her draft of only 5’-4”, vastly increasing the possibilities for adventure and solitude.
With just her second owner, BEAU GESTE has been lavishly cared for with a long list of valuable upgrades for her next owner to proudly enjoy. Most recent upgrades include new sails, rod rigging, mast paint, all canvas, interior/exterior cushions and much more noted herein.
BEAU GESTE sleeps six in three private cabins, each with a private head and shower. The interior is all satin finished teak with solid trim and cabin doors and large veneered surfaces. Floorboards are gloss-finished teak and holly with locking lift handles. Hull ceilings are varnished teak, and custom tongue and groove overhead panels are all removable and secured by varnished teak trim with attractive faux deck beams in the salon. Bureau countertops are marble. There are lee cloths for most berths, custom bedding throughout and all new interior fabrics in 2025.
A large forepeak at the bow is well suited for storing gear such as sails, fenders, dock lines, and running rigging with a chain locker and divided space for secondary anchor rode. There is a workbench with vise and Craftsman tool drawers. This area can be accessed from a large deck hatch or through a door from the starboard guest head.
Aft to starboard is one of two guest cabins that features upper and lower berths, a hanging locker, numerous drawers, bureau, drop-down lockers above berth, two deck hatches and an opening porthole. Forward is an en-suite head with electric toilet, marble vanity with flush sink and mirror, shower faucet, deck hatch and varnished teak floor grate.
To port is the second guest cabin, also with upper and lower berths, hanging locker, numerous drawers including several below berth, a bureau, two deck hatches and opening porthole. The port guest head is fitted out with details similar to the starboard side.
The main salon aboard BEAU GESTE is spacious, bright and well-ventilated thanks to her 16’ beam, six hull ports and numerous hatches and opening portholes. There is an L-shaped dining area to port with inboard settee and varnished cherry dining table featuring beautiful inlaid ebony borders. To starboard is a settee with inlaid coffee table and stereo and storage locker forward.
The galley is conveniently located close to the companionway aft to starboard of the main salon. Features include:
The nav station is to port aft of the main salon. There is a dedicated seat with backrest, lift-up chart table with generous work space, and built-in navigation electronics. Inboard are large custom switch panels to control and monitor all ship functions.
A passageway leads aft to the owner’s cabin. Outboard there is a large freezer/bar area with custom storage and an icemaker below. Features include Corian counters and custom painted tile backsplash. A dedicated wet locker is aft. Inboard are storage lockers and large doors to access the engine and generator space.
The inviting owner’s cabin is aft with a double berth to port and single berth to starboard. There are twin hanging lockers, numerous drawers, a custom chart drawer, and bookshelves. Great light and ventilation with two hatches, four opening portholes and two hull ports. There is also a companionway leading out to the aft deck that provides easy access as well as more light and ventilation. The en-suite head and separate shower stall are forward to starboard, featuring a marble sink vanity, electric toilet, several storage lockers, opening porthole and varnished teak sole grates.
The DC electrical system is 12 volts provided by (8) AGM 12V 8D batteries (2020) with a total capacity of 800 amp hours. There are twin 12 volt batteries forward for the bow thruster, and separate 12-volt batteries for engine/generator and 12 volt electronics. An emergency parallel switch allows the house batteries to start the main engine. The AC electrical system is 120/240 volt, 50 or 60 cycle single phase. More details:
